Overview

Warrn supports two methods for sending alerts to Slack:
  • Slack OAuth (recommended) — Connect your Slack workspace at the organization level. Select channels per service. Warrn posts as a branded bot.
  • Slack Webhooks — Configure per-service incoming webhook URLs for simpler, self-managed setups.

Slack OAuth Setup

  1. Go to Settings in Warrn.
  2. Navigate to the Slack integration section.
  3. Click Connect Slack and authorize Warrn in your workspace.
  4. Once connected, select which channels should receive notifications per service.
Slack OAuth connects at the organization level. All teams within the org can route alerts to channels in the connected workspace.

Slack Webhook Setup

  1. Create an Incoming Webhook in your Slack workspace.
  2. Open a service in Warrn and go to Integrations.
  3. Add a Slack Webhook integration and paste the webhook URL.
  4. Configure severity filters to control which alerts are sent.

What Gets Sent

  • Alert creation and status changes.
  • Severity, service name, and team context.
  • Direct links back to the alert in Warrn.

Type

Outgoing — Warrn sends notifications to Slack. Slack does not push data back into Warrn.
