Warrn provides nine slash commands. You must link your Slack identity to Warrn before using them. Most command forms and results are visible only to you. Changes such as declaring an incident or posting an update create the normal incident notifications and timeline events for your organization.

/incident [title]

Opens the incident declaration form. The optional text pre-fills the title.
Review the title, severity, description, affected services, and teams before submitting. Warrn then runs the configured incident workflows, which can include creating an incident channel and war room.

/oncall [team]

Shows the current on-call person and coverage. Omit the team to show all teams with available on-call information.
The team argument can match the team’s name or slug.

/stats [period]

Shows alert count, incident count, incident MTTR, alert MTTR, MTTA, and impacted-customer totals compared with the preceding period.
Supported periods are 7d, 14d, 30d, and 90d. The default is 30d.

Incident channel commands

The following commands work only in a Slack channel linked to a Warrn incident.

/update [message]

Opens a status-update form. The optional text pre-fills the update. You can publish a message and change the incident status or severity in the same submission.

/responder [@person]

Adds a responder to the current incident. Select a Slack user in the form, or provide a recognized mention.
The selected Slack user must have a linked Warrn account.

/severity <level>

Changes the incident severity.
Accepted values are critical, high, medium, low, sev1, sev2, sev3, and sev4.

/timeline

Shows the 20 most recent incident timeline entries, including status and severity changes, responders, linked alerts, comments, updates, escalation activity, and war-room creation.
Open the incident in Warrn to see the complete timeline when more than 20 entries exist.

/postmortem

Shows the current incident’s postmortem to you in Slack.
The command reports when no postmortem exists. To publish the postmortem for everyone in the incident channel, mention @Warrn and ask it to share the postmortem.

/scribe

Sends Warrn Scribe to the incident’s war-room call.
The incident must have a war-room URL. Running the command again while Scribe is already active does not start a duplicate session.

Thread phrases

These are assistant requests rather than slash commands:
The first imports a past incident from the thread. The second attaches the thread to an existing incident. See Declare, import, or attach for the difference.
